Developmental Review

Highly recommended!
This is a big-picture look at your manuscript. It is generally the first step, as you do not want to spend time polishing a chapter that may be much different in the final version of the book. This review focuses on structure, timeline, flow, clarity, character development, plot holes, and inconsistencies. You will be given a thorough list showing strengths and weaknesses, as well as suggestions on resolving any issues. In summary, this review assesses where your project is, what it needs, and a list of suggestions.

Copy/Line Edit

Now that your book is structurally sound, it is time for the deep clean. This is where the 'heavy duty' editing comes in. Roll your sleeves up, the red ink is flying! EVERY sentence is reviewed, line-by-line. Items such as grammar, punctuation, transparency, and styling will be addressed. This is when the story really begins to come to life! We will be in regular contact with you, the author, to ensure that your voice shines through. Our editing services focus on clarity, coherence, and maintaining the integrity of your original message.

The final polish! After rounds of editing, it is important to do a careful review for small mistakes that may have been missed in the frenzy of the copy edit. This review also addresses any mistakes that may have occurred after having your book formatted.

The Editor

Hello! My name is Cassie Byelene. I am a devout Christian. I have ten years of experience reviewing technical documents and creating state and federal legal contracts. This has shaped me into the diligent and perfectionist editor that I am today. I have helped both published and unpublished authors attain their goals in fiction as well as nonfiction genres. Authors I have collaborated with range from youths to PhD-holding ministers. Having worked part-time for an editing company, I decided that it was time to test the waters with my own small business. So, here we go :)

I thoroughly enjoy working with authors on their projects and helping them to shine! Sermon article compilations? Come my way. Fantasy dragon stories? Love them! Whatever you are working on, I will give it my best and then some.

Thanks for stopping by, and may the good Lord take a liking to ya!
